METHOD OF TEACHING & LEARNING
Unlike normal student’s special method of teaching as mentioned below are being followed to provide effective learning experience to the hearing impaired students for their all-round development. The special procedure and methodology for communication and concept formation of the hearing students include.

- Lip – Reading
- Oral – aural
- Finger spelling
- Writing
- Sign language
Loop Induction system is used in the classrooms for better hearing skill. The facilities like–library, Laboratories, Reading Room, Boys’ Common Room, Girls’ Common Room, Counseling Room and extra coaching are given for the educational benefit of the students.

To impart an effective teaching to the Hearing Impaired ,the following equipments are being used by the skilled faculty members for easy understanding and quick grasping of students.

SATYABHAMA DEVI COLLEGE FOR HEARING IMPAIRED
The +3 College was established in the year 2016 by Satyabhasma Devi Welfare Trust to enable the Hearing Impaired students to pursue their higher education in the State of Odisha for their economic independent and non-liability to the parents and society. The Govt. of Odisha in the Deptt. Of Higher Education has exempted pledged money and bank deposit of Rs. 30,00,00/- for approval and Recognition of the college and Utkal University has exempted bank deposit and pledged money for Affiliation.
