OBSERVATION OF NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL DAY

The college observes National and International days to aware the people about the importance of the day. The College observes Voter day, Independence Day, Ganesh Puja, Children’s Day, Saraswati Puja, Netaji Jayanti, Republic Day every year in the college where in all the students and staff members take active parts for the observation of the day. The discussion is made through sign language. The posters, banners, pamphlets, leaflets etc are displayed for the purpose. The World Disabled day i.e. 3rd December is observed every year in the college. The students and their friends with their parents are invited to the college to observe the day. All are made aware of the importance of the day. The International Day of Deaf is observed on 28th September every year by the College of Satyabhama Devi Higher Secondary School for Hearing Impaired for their safety.

Utkal Divas

Utkal Divas was observed on 1.4.2025 in the campus of the Satyabhama Devi College for Hearing Impaired, Qtr. No-VR-56,Unit-Vi,Bhubaneswar, Sj. Srikanta Dash ,Regional Manager,State Bank of India,Sj. Banabas Acharya, Jindal CSR Head, Secretary, Satyabhama Devi College for Hearing Impaired, Ms. NirojaLaxmi Mohapatra were present for the purpose.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

The college also observed Independence day in the college to promote National integration and we feeling among the students. A meeting was organized to make aware of the students of the freedom fighter who have sacrificed for the country to make the Nation free from foreign Rullers. Smt. Varsha Priyadarshini, Ollywood Actress, Sj. Pratap Sahoo, Social worker & Secretary Niroja Laxmi Mohapatra were present in this ceremony.

GANESH PUJA

The Ganesh Puja was observed by the students to develop the cultural activities and aesthetic sense. The observation of the day developed spiritual values.

INDIAN SIGN LANGUAGE DAY

The college also observed Indian Sign Language Day on 23.09.2025 in the college among the students of Hearing Impaired. This Day is International day. It is celebrated annually on 23 September. Every year Satyabhama Devi College for Hearing Impaired observes to raise awareness of the importance of sign language. All staffs and students was attend in this programme.

VOTERS DAY

The College also observed Voters day in the college campus. The Hearing Impaired students to take part in the political process. Government India has decided to celebrate January 25 every year as “ National Voters Day”. It has been started from January 2011 to mark the Foundation day of Election Commission of India.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF DISABLE

International Disability Day was celebrated with the Hearing Impaired Students in the college campus.Er. Lalit Mohan Pattanaik, Sj. Pratap Sahoo, Social Workar & Mir Ali Ahemmad ,Social worker and many dignitaries joined in this celebration. Managing Trustee addressed with few sugary words in favour of Hearing Impaired Students that they are differently abled. Students also delivered their speech by means of Indian Sign Language about the importance of this day. Cultural programme was also organized. Many Hearing Impaired students were awarded by the Guests for their outstanding achievements.

REPUBLIC DAY

The Republic day was observed in the college under the initiation of the college . The various competition like such as dance, one act play and drama was organized in the college. The students were made aware of their constitutional provisions), Sj. Rudra Samantaray, Sj Pratap Sahoo, Social Worker, Niroja Laxmi Mohapatra, Secretary of Satyabhama Devi college for Hearing Impaired also attend in the auspicious day.

The festival observed by the students with great joy. A very good artistic pendals was made by the efforts of students to worship Goddess Saraswati,the source of knowledge.

One Visual Impaired student namely Sridhar Sahoo after completion of +3 courses is now studying C.T training course with the financial support by me. The entire study expenses starting C.T course is borne by the Trust
